Last year was eventful for you. You not only won a reality TV show, but also judged one. Yes, it was a rocking year. I am lucky that I worked hard and got the results. There are people who work harder, but do not get what they deserve. I feel blessed to have received so much love from my fans.

You are known as a reality TV star. How does that image work for you? Many people call me a reality king. They also ask me, ‘What else can you do?’ I will be acting in a TV show soon. It was the best option to shut them up. I will also release my single shortly, and have already shot for the video. I want to be an all-rounder. I don’t want to leave any avenue. I will try my hand at every medium and give it my best.

You had mentioned earlier that you were keen on acting in movies. Today, there is not much difference between films and the small screen. People connect with television characters too. The content and story are more important, be it in any medium. I want to act and prove the naysayers wrong.

Was acting a natural progression for you? Yes, I wanted to act. People have loved me for who I am. I hope they love me for my character in my TV show as well. I hope to prove myself and remain in the hearts of the audience for a long time. I am not anxious or nervous [about my show]. Some of my qualities will reflect in my character on screen, so it will be easier for me [to play the role].
