Surprise, surprise! If you thought Amitabh Bachchan's Yudh could save you from the tyranny of TV's

saas-bahu
serials, think again. The magnum opus on Sony could only muster a dismal TAM rating of 2 since its debut a little over two-and-a-half weeks. Tearjerkers any time please, we are Indians!
To put things into perspective, here's how some other serials have done in terms of the TAM ratings.
Star Plus's daily soap Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has maintained an average TAM rating of 8 over the last two and a half weeks. Even shows like CID manage average TAM ratings of 4.

Yudh, however, has not reached anywhere near them. The Anurag Kashyap's creative got 1.8 TAM rating for the first week, and it tanked to 1.4. The figures further plummeted to 0.8 in the third week!
Interestingly, one the most authoritative online database for TV shows and movies -- IMDB -- has given the show a rating of 9.2, almost at par with popular international shows like True Detective, House of Cards and Game Of Thrones.
Rejoicing over the ratings, Amitabh Bachchan had tweeted, "Imdb ratings for #YUDH astonishing numbers .. its 9.2 today was 9.4 a few days back ! House of Cards, True Detective, GOT, same !"?
In theory that absolves the serial of everything and blames the almost zero crowd enthusiasm on the terrible time slot it's aired: 10.30, after the prime time.
