Jumping up nine positions since last year, The Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons is now leading Forbes' list of richest TV actors with $29mn (Rs 190cr) earnings in one year. The actor reportedly gets about $1mn per episode after the pay-hike the whole cast of the show got last year.

Jim Parsons plays partical physicist Dr Sheldon Cooper in CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory.

The 42-year-old actor, who plays the socially awkward geek Sheldon Cooper on the CBS sitcom, has left behind big guns like Kevin Spacey (position 15) and Ashton Kutcher (position 3).

Out of the 15 names given out by Forbes, the top four are actors from The Big Bang Theory itself. Johnny Galecki (Leonard) stood second while Simon Helberg (Howard) and Kunal Nayyar (Raj) grabbed the third positions in a tie.

A similar list in the highest paid movie actor was also released by Forbes some days ago where Robert Downey Junior led the band with $80mn (Rs 530cr). While there were three Indian names in the highest paid movie actors list (Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan), no Indian TV actor has made it to the latest list (no surprises there).

A separate list of 'highest earning TV actresses' will soon be released. We wonder who will lead the pack, Sofia Vergara or Kaley Cuoco Sweeting.
