Bigg Boss Tamil 3 teaser released, Kamal Haasan to return as host for third time
Actor-filmmaker-politician Kamal Haasan, who made his television debut as the host of Tamil version of reality show Bigg Boss in 2017, will return as its host for the third time as the show gears up for its third season. Star Vijay, the channel which will air the show most likely from July, teased fans on Wednesday with a new promo for the third season.
During its launch in 2017, it attracted the wrath of some fringe groups who were against the show, citing that it affects Tamil culture. Soon after the protests, Haasan said in a media interaction that Bigg Boss is as necessary as cricket in India.
“I’m not answerable to the people who filed the complaint. I’m not worried about the case. I have immense faith in law and in our government. I don’t think Bigg Boss is tarnishing Tamil culture. I have done kissing scenes in the past. Perhaps, they are seeking my arrest late.” He went on to add that the fringe group hasn’t watched any similar shows that are being aired for over a decade on Indian television.
The participants for the third season are yet to be announced officially. Radha Ravi, VJ Ramya and Premgi are rumoured to be part of the show.
On the career front, Haasan is expected to commence work on Shankar’s next project, Indian 2. Amidst rumours that the project has been shelved, fresh reports have emerged that the film will finally go on the floors in June.
