Ekta Kapoor has finally revealed the first look of Kasautii Zindagii Kay reboot. The producer took to Instagram to share promo from the upcoming Star Plus show.
“Love never dies!!! When u think it’s over it RETURNS ! Here it is KASAUTI ZINDAGI KAY! @starplus @balajitelefilmslimited,” Ekta captioned the post. The video is a scene-by-scene recreation of the opening theme from the hit original television soap from early 2000s.
The new promo stars actor Erica Fernandez as the show’s lead Prerna while the male lead’s face has not been revealed. She is seen in a black suit and red duppatta. The title song—though cropped in places—is also the same as the original.
Shweta Tiwari and Ronit Roy, the lead stars of the original, congratulated Ekta for her new show and wished her all the best. “Wow! Congratulations and all the best for the new TV saga. Title song looks amazing,” Shweta commented on the video. “All the very best to everyone involved,” Ronit commented on the post and added, “Closest to my heart! I doubt anyone would be happier than me at the return. Please please give me one scene in the show.” The show’s lead vamp, Urvashi Dholakia also made heart emojis on the the post.

Bringing back my most successful love saga that ran for 9 years!!! Again I’ll take my broken heart n make it into art!!!,” she had captioned the post.
