Netflix on Friday released the first trailer for the upcoming anthology film, Lust Stories, that boast a stellar lineup of directors - Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee and Karan Johar - telling Indian stories about love for an international audience. The trailer was launched at an event in Mumbai where the filmmakers also announced the release date: June 15.

Featuring Radhika Apte, Manisha Koirala, Bhumi Pednekar, Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani, the trailer is a mix of fun, love and lust. It opens with Radhika’s dialogue where she says, “You can’t hurt someone you love, intentionally you don’t. But you only hurt those you love!”

According to Netflix, “Lust Stories is a contemporary take on real-life relationships through the lens of four women and their desires. The anthology film is a take on ‘Love, Sex and everything in between!’”

The trailer effortlessly weaves in the different stories into what seems like a thematically connected film that could appeal people outside India too. Starring Radhika Apte, Manisha Koirala, Bhumi Pednekar, Neha Dhupia, Kiara Advani, Vicky Kaushal, Sanjay Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat, Akash Thosar and Neil Bhoopalam, Lust Stories will be made available for streaming in 190 countries all over the world.

The film is produced by Ronnie Screwala’s RSVP films, and marks Netflix’s third original Indian film, after Brahman Naman and Love Per Square Foot. The streaming service will also unveil its first original Indian series, Sacred Games starring Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Sacred Games is also co-directed by Kashyap and will be released on July 6.
