TV actor Gulfam Khan, who worked with late actor Reema Lagoo in the ongoing popular television show Naamkarann, has said Reema was happy, just a day before she died of cardiac arrest on Thursday morning. Reema shot for the TV show on Wednesday and spent some time with Gulfam.

Gulfam Khan worked with Reema Lagoo in Do Hanso Ka Joda and the two were working together in Naamkarann.

Gulfam says she will always remember Reema Lagoo as a cute and happy person.

Reema Lagoo is survived by daughter Mrunmayee, who is also an actress and director.

Remembering Reema’s last day on the sets of Naamkarann, Gulfam told Hindustan Times, “I remember someone on set brought vada pav while she was giving a shot. Interrupting her shoot, Reemaji said “Keep that for me too, I’ll enjoy it after the shoot.” There was a scene where she was supposed to stare at me and she gave me a naughty smile and wanted to have several takes for it.”

She further said, “I have known Reemaji since nine years. But in the past 8-9 months we had become good friends and she use to guide me too. She was really fond of exploring different cuisines and cooking food. Just a few days ago she cooked Soda (dry fish) khichdi for me.” Gulfam said.

“Mrunmayee will always remind me of Reemaji as even if we had five minutes of conversation she would discuss her ‘Chintu’ (Mrunmayee). I have a habit of getting stuff from my travel far and near for my close ones. Every time I got her something she used to tell me how her daughter would love them. Just few days ago, I got her bangles with inlaid stones, she loved them and said she won’t give them to her daughter as she will wear them. I laughed because I knew she would ultimately show it to her daughter which she eventually did. The last day we met (May 17), we spent almost six hours together and she looked very happy. She is etched that way in my memory for ever - pretty and happy. I love her and I know she is in a better place now, though the vacuum she has left will always hurt,” Gulfam who also worked with Reema in Do Hanso Ka Joda, added.
