There were too many fights in the Bigg Boss 8 house: Rahul Mahajan

People were just too busy strategising and hardly having any fun, evicted Bigg Boss 8 contestant Rahul Mahajan said in an interview. He added his stint on the show has made him respect his house help and that he plans to turn to acting soon.

Back in 2006, Rahul Mahajan shot to fame when he participated in the second season of an ongoing reality TV series. Earlier this month, he was brought back to the controversial show - which is in its eighth season currently - as a special entrant to create some buzz. This time too, he succeeded in generating a lot of drama. From being holed up in a house with his separated wife, Dimpy Mahajan, to flirting with fellow contestant Karishma Tanna, Rahul, once again, has proved why he is such a popular reality star.

This was your second time on the show. How was it?
I washed vessels and cleaned toilets regularly, and I missed my house help a lot. Now, I really appreciate them and feel their pain. I plan to give them a raise, and buy them a dishwasher too.

Was it fun, though?
Not really. During my earlier stay, contestants were entertaining; they enjoyed themselves. This season, people weren't having fun. They would joke about other contestants, but couldn't handle a joke themselves. People were camera-conscious and everyone was strategising. There were too many fights… all that was too much for me to handle.

You were seen flirting with co-contestant Karishma on the show.
It was all done in fun. She may not have a sense of humour, but healthy flirting and serious flirting are two different things. If I was interested in her, I would have flirted in a more subtle manner.

How serious are Upen Patel and Karishma about each other, according to you?
They are stuck to each other all day long, and keep coochie-cooing. I don't know what the truth is. The real test will start six months after the show ends. Their intentions might be genuine, but I don't know if they will last in the real world. I hope they do.
