10,000 condoms disappear in 1 night? Olympic village officially out of protection on Valentine’s day

A light-hearted moment at the Winter Olympics as the International Olympic Committee revealed thousands of condoms distributed in the athletes’ village quickly ran out around Valentine’s Day. IOC spokesperson Mark Adams joked the shortage showed celebrations were “in full swing” among nearly 2,800 athletes. Local media said supplies disappeared within three days. Athletes, including Madagascar skier Mialitiana Clerc, were unsurprised, noting similar scenes during the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and adding many competitors even take them home as souvenirs.
