After ‘Felon’ jet, Russia turns AK into drone-slayer ‘shotgun’ that fires 3 projectiles in one shot

Russia has unveiled a new anti-drone cartridge designed to make standard AK-series rifles more effective against small UAVs. The new "Mnogotochie" ammunition reportedly splits into three projectiles after leaving the barrel, increasing the chances of hitting fast-moving drones. Russian officials claim the round is up to 2.5 times more effective at ranges of around 300 meters and is compatible with existing 5.45×39mm and 7.62×54mm weapons. The development highlights Moscow's efforts to adapt conventional infantry weapons for modern drone warfare as unmanned aerial systems continue to reshape battlefields across ongoing conflicts.
