After Swiss talks, Trump threatens more strikes; Iran says negotiation is ‘continuation of struggle’

President Donald Trump said he remains willing to take action against Iran if Tehran does not honor the memorandum of understanding, stating that if Iran “doesn't live up to their agreement” or is “not behaving,” he will “do what I have to do.” In the same exchange, Trump dismissed the idea that Iran holds leverage over him and argued that Iran’s military and economic position has been badly damaged. On the Iranian side, parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf framed diplomacy as an extension of conflict rather than an alternative to it. He said battlefield gains do not become lasting political or legal achievements without diplomacy, and added that negotiation is “a method of fight” and “the continuation of the struggle.”
