Amar Jawan Jyoti ceremony; Army veteran on move to National War Memorial

- The Amar Jawan Jyoti or the ‘eternal flame’ for soldiers at India Gate has been put out after 50 years and merged with the flame at the National War Memorial. A row has broken out on the issue with some calling the Centre’s decision ‘appropriate’ while others including the opposition are terming it ‘fake patriotism’. Army veteran Lieutenant General Satish Dua (Retd.) weighs in on the issue in conversation with Hindustan Times’ Aditi Prasad.
