Review of Reviews: Should you watch Paltan?

12 Years since J.P Dutta last put the director's hat on, 15 years since he last made a war movie! Popularly considered the master of war movies in India courtesy of movies like Border and LOC Kargil, JP Dutta is back with another war movie, Paltan.

So starring an ensemble of Jackie Shroff, Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Harshwardhan Rane, Gurmeet Chowdhary, Esha Gupta, Monica Gill and Sonal Chauhan, Paltan is finally in theaters today and we thought we'd help you make up your mind on whether or not to watch this film.

But first things first, what is Paltan about? Technically, Paltan isn't entirely a war movie. The film is based on the military clashes of India and China at Nathula pass back in 1967, the face off that really escalated into something. The critics mostly stand united for this one but unfortunately for Mr. Dutta, the word is negative.
