Cong embroiled in huge controversy after Channi jibe at UP-Bihar people in Priyanka Gandhi's presence. While campaigning, the Chief Minister said 'don't let Bhaiyyas from UP, Bihar, Delhi, enter Punjab'. In political discourse, 'Bhaiyya' is a pejorative slur used against the people of Uttar Pradesh & Bihar. In the video, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is seen nodding & applauding after Channi made the derogatory reference. Ironically, the Congress General Secretary is spearheading the party campaign in Uttar Pradesh.
