France’s aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle returned to its home port in Toulon after completing a five-and-a-half-month global deployment across multiple strategic regions. The mission, known as “La Fayette 26,” covered more than 40,000 nautical miles and included operations in the Atlantic, Baltic Sea, Mediterranean, and Indian Ocean. The carrier strike group participated in NATO activities, supported maritime security efforts, and demonstrated France’s ability to project naval power across different theatres. The French Navy said the deployment highlighted both military readiness and diplomatic engagement. Watch the return of the Charles de Gaulle and its crew after the extensive mission.
