Chile's Atacama Desert Turns White After Rare Snowfall In The World's Driest Region

Chile’s Atacama Desert, one of the driest places on Earth, turned white after an unusual snowfall. A frontal system brought rain and snow across parts of the Chilean Altiplano, covering homes, roads and mountains around Machuca.
