'Genocide' by China against Uyghurs - French MPs adopt resolution days before start of Beijing Winter Olympics. The resolution, proposed by opposition Socialists, was also backed by President Macron's party. China has been orchestrating the migration of the ethnic majority to dilute the minority Uyghur population. China has also been accused of banning religious practices in the region. Reports suggest China has been forcibly mass sterilising Uyghur women.
