Watch | Many killed as bridge collapses in busy area of Kolkata

An under-construction bridge collapsed in the busy Girish Park area of North Kolkata. The eye-witnesses claim that nearly 150 people are stuck under the collapsed bridge. Even taxis and buses are believed to be trapped. Rescue operation is currently underway to recover the people stuck under the debris. The army, police and the ambulance reached the accident spot to evacuate the victims. The police were making desperate attempts to lift up the fallen bridge.
