‘400 FIRs, over 90 arrests in Covid-19 cyber fraud cases’: Delhi Police

Amid the second wave of Covid-19, Delhi Police launched operation Cyber Prahaar against cyber frauds. It registered around 400 FIRs against Covid cheats and arrested over 90 people. Delhi Police said through the helpline numbers of they were informed about cases of black marketing related to oxygen cylinders, oxygen beds and medicines. Scammers were found to be from different parts of the country. “We seized 214 frozen bank accounts with cheated amount of over ₹60 lakh. We have also taken a step to block around 900 mobile phone numbers,” said Special CP Neeraj Thakur. Watch the full video for more.
