Amid 3rd wave worry, PM Modi launches 'crash course' for 1 lakh Covid warriors

- PM Narendra Modi launched a customized crash course programme for Covid frontline workers. The crash course aims to skill & upskill over one lakh 'Covid warriors' across the nation. Speaking on the occasion, PM Modi urged people to remain cautious against the virus. PM stressed that Covid is 'still amongst us' & possibility of it mutating is also there. “During the second wave of Covid-19, we saw numerous variants of the virus. Covid is still there & there is a strong possibility of the virus being mutated. So, the country's preparations have to be ramped up in order to combat new challenges. We are working towards preparing one lakh frontline workers in the country,” he said. The customised crash course is designed under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 3.0. The special programme will commence in 111 training centres spread across 26 states.
