‘India’s Covid-19 recovery rate...’: Union govt on stats of cured patients

The Union government briefed the media on the situation regarding the Covid-19 pandemic in the country. Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that the recovery rate of patients in India was improving and stood at 22.17%. Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Punya Salila Srivastava, said that 80% of the wheat crop had been harvested as on April 26, 2020. Also part of the briefing was Parameswaran Iyer, a senior bureaucrat and chairman of the so-called empowered group 5, which focuses on supply chain and logistics, as India battles the Sars-Cov-2 coronavirus.
