Covid Flash: India logs 42,700+ cases in 24 hours, recovery rate at 97%

• India has reported 42,766 new covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. Active caseload stands at 4,55,033; it constitutes 1.48% of total cases. A total of 37.21 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far. India has registered 45,254 recoveries in the last 24 hours. So far, 2,99,33,538 patients have recovered across the country. The coronavirus recovery rate stands at 97.20%. The weekly covid positivity rate remained at 2.34%. Daily positivity rate at 2.19%, less than 3% for 19th consecutive days. Testing capacity ramped up, a total of 42.90 crore tests were conducted.
