Covid ‘situation worsening’, says WHO as global cases cross 70 lakh-mark

World Health Organisation warned that Covid situation is worsening. WHO chief said that world saw highest single-day tally on June 7 at 1.36 lakh. Ghebreyesus said that govts need to be careful as public gatherings resume. “Almost 7 million cases of COVID-19 have now been reported to WHO, and almost 400,000 deaths. Although the situation in Europe is improving, globally it is worsening. More than 100,000 cases have been reported on 9 of the past 10 days,” said Ghebreyesus. Watch the full video for more.
