How Indian jab ZyCoV-D may create history if cleared; firm's 5 crore-dose target

- Indian pharma major Zydus Cadila has claimed that in case its vaccine ZyCoV-D is approved by regulators, it would be the world's first DNA jab. The vaccine uses a portion of the Covid-19 virus' genetic code to induce immune response in recipients. Other vaccines like Pfizer and Moderna are based on mRNA technology, while Covishield uses viral vector tech. Meanwhile, Zydus Cadila MD Sharvil Patel said that the company aims to produce 5 crore doses by December 2021. Watch the full video for more.
