HT Salutes: Debojit Thakur, a researcher who helped Covid & Amphan victims

Debojit Thakur, a 29-year-old doctoral scholar, studies in Germany. But when the Covid-induced lockdown stranded him in Delhi, he decided to put his past experience as a relief volunteer to use to help the underprivileged. His efforts led to the creation of the Quarantined Student Youth Network, which received donations from places as distant as USA, UK, and Germany. The initiative also caught the eye of Indian celebrities like Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday. QSYN volunteers also contributed to relief work amid the devastation caused by Cyclone Amphan.
