ITBP officials take stock of arrangements at Delhi's Sardar Patel Covid centre

  • Indo-Tibetan Border Police visited Delhi's Sardar Patel Covid Care Centre on Friday. Senior ITBP officials reviewed ground arrangements at the Covid centre in South Delhi. ITBP officials in PPE kits were seen visiting patients & taking stock of arrangements. The Covid care facility was jointly established by Delhi govt & ITBP on April 26, 2021. Last year too, during the first wave, the facility was set up to serve Covid patients. At present, there are reportedly 400 Covid positive patients admitted at the centre. The centre provides medical treatment, medicines, food, etc to patients free of cost. Services inside centre are managed by doctors, ITBP medical staff & NGO volunteers. ITBP has deployed a team of more than 200 medical professionals to run the facility. ITBP personnel are also helping in managing security & other administrative arrangements.
