‘Nothing to worry about’: Joe Biden gets his first dose of Pfizer Covid vaccine

US President-elect Joe Biden received his first dose of the coronavirus vaccine on live television on December 21 as part of a growing effort to convince the American public the inoculations are safe. Biden took a dose of Pfizer vaccine at a hospital in Delaware's Newark hours after his wife, Jill Biden, did the same. Biden said, “I'm doing this to demonstrate that people should be prepared when it's available to take the vaccine. There's nothing to worry about. I'm looking forward to the second shot, so is Jill – she's had her shot earlier today.” The president-elect praised the health care workers and said President Donald Trump's administration 'deserves some credit getting this off the ground.'
