Over 1700 doses of Covid-19 vaccine stolen from hospital in Haryana's Jind

  • Over 1,700 doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccine were stolen from a hospital in Haryana. The incident took place at the civil hospital in Jind on Wednesday night. Deputy CMO of the hospital, Dr Ramesh Panchal said, “I got to know about the incident from our health inspector at PPC centre. All the locks are broken and doses of anti-Covid vaccine have been stolen. We have registered a complaint with police and will ensure a proper enquiry.” Police said that a total of 1,270 doses of Covishield and 440 of Covaxin were stolen. “Vaccines have been stolen from the hospital, we collected the CCTV footage. Two persons entered the store at around 1 am and left after 20-25 mins. We will try to identify the accused at the earliest and take necessary action,” a police official said.
