‘Positive news...’: Govt on Covid recoveries; says hospital beds adequate

Union government commented on Covid-19 situation in the country. Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that India's recovery rate, i.e. number of recovered patients as compared to total cases, has reached 49.21%. He said that total number of recoveries has exceeded total number of active cases in the country. He also commented on some people reportedly being turned away from hospitals due to lack of hospital beds. He asked suspected patients to approach hospitals only after calling the state helpline and receiving instructions. Watch the full video for more.
