Vaccine side-effects: 'Enlarged heart' warning for Pfizer, Moderna jabs in USA

Amid anticipation that the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine may soon be available in India, a US body has warned of side-effects from the jab. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has asked recipients of Pfizer and Moderna jabs to stay on the lookout for symptoms like chest pain, shortness of breath, and fast-beating, fluttering, or pounding heart. The CDC said that some cases of myocarditis (heart muscle inflammation) and pericarditis (enlarged heart) had been seen in some recipients, but benefits of the vaccines outweigh potential risks.
