Why Mumbai’s lack of isolation beds could pose problems in battling Covid-19 pandemic

As the number of positive cases in Mumbai continues to rise, one of the major problems could be the shortage of isolation beds. According to the numbers in the 2011 census, there is only one bed available for 5246 people. Unless there is a significant increase in the number of isolation beds, the situation in maximum city could turn grim if community transmission begins.
