Rain brought play to a premature close on Friday, day four of the fourth Ashes Test. Australia are 103-2 in their second innings, trailing England by 61 runs. England coach Trevor Bayliss insisted that his side still have the chance to win the match, providing that can “take a number of wickets reasonably quickly”. Both teams shrugged off accusations that England pace bowler James Anderson had tampered with the ball, with Mitchell Marsh insisting that nothing had been mentioned in the Australian changing room.
