Rajasthan Royals beat Mumbai Indians by five wickets in Jaipur. Steve Smith replaced Ajinkya Rahane as RR captain. Shreyas Gopal got Rajasthan Royals off to a good start with the wicket of Rohit Sharma. Quinton de Kock and Suryakumar Yadav consolidated the innings with a 97-run partnership. Hardik Pandya's innings of 23 runs helped MI post 161/5 in 20 overs. Ajinkya Rahane fell early on in the innings for 12 runs. Steve Smith and Riyan Parag strung a 70-run partnership to keep RR in the chase. Smith remained unbeaten on 59 as RR clinched the match with five balls to spare.
