Shikhar Dhawan's maiden IPL ton helped Delhi Capitals defeat Chennai Super Kings by 5 wickets in the 34th match of Indian Premier League 2020 in Sharjah. CSK won the toss and elected to bat first. Faf du Plessis top-scored with 58 runs while Ambati Rayudu (45*) and Ravindra Jadeja (33*) stitched a 50-run stand for the fifth wicket. In return, DC successfully chased down the target in 20 overs. Shikhar Dhawan carried his bat and scored an unbeaten 101 off 58 balls, including 14 boundaries and a maximum.
