Reports claim the UK has cancelled plans to send HMS Prince of Wales to the U.S. Navy’s 250th anniversary celebrations in New York, fueling speculation over tensions following remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump about British aircraft carriers. While some reports linked the decision to Trump's earlier "toy warships" comments, the UK Ministry of Defence said the carrier remains committed to NATO operations in the High North and denied politics influenced the decision. The development has sparked debate over U.S.-UK defence ties, alliance unity and ongoing strategic priorities.
