Amid speculations of a possible TikTok ban in US, a Bloomberg report has claimed that Chinese officials are mulling the sale of TikTok’s US operations to close Donald Trump aide Elon Musk. The US Supreme Court is yet to decide if it will uphold a federal law that will ban TikTok in America from January 19. If TikTok parent company fails to fend off ban, it will have to sell off its US operations, which is where Musk reportedly features. Musk appears to be a viable candidate for China considering his proximity to Trump as well his ownership of ‘X’, formerly known as Twitter. Will Musk pull off yet another social media giant sale?
