Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao call it quits after 15 years of marriage; to co-parent son

• Actor Aamir Khan & filmmaker Kiran Rao have announced their divorce. The couple announced divorce after 15 years of marriage in a joint statement. Aamir & Kiran said that they will co-parent their son, Azad Rao Khan. Th duo said they will continue with their professional partnership on Paani Foundation. According to the joint statement, Aamir & Kiran had separated 'some time ago’. Aamir Khan & Kiran Rao first met during shoot of the Bollywood film, Lagaan. In the film, Aamir played the lead role & Kiran was an assistant director. Aamir & Kiran tied the knot on December 28, 2005 & welcomed Azad in 2021. Aamir was previously married to Reena Dutta & has two kids - Junaid Khan, Ira Khan.
