How actor Alec Baldwin fatally shot cinematographer on film set

• US actor Alec Baldwin fired a prop gun that allegedly killed a cinematographer on a film set. As per US law enforcement officers, the incident in New Mexico also wounded the director. The incident happened on the set of Rust, where Baldwin is playing the lead character. The victims have been identified as Halyna Hutchins & Joel Souza, both 42. No charges have been filed over the incident so far, the matter is being investigated. The sheriff in Santa Fe said victims 'were shot when a prop firearm was discharged by Baldwin’. As per the statement released by the sheriff, Hutchins later succumbed to her wounds. Souza was meanwhile getting emergency care at another hospital, the sheriff's office said. Production has been halted on the movie, which is being directed by Joel Souza. Baldwin's spokesperson said there was an accident on the set involving misfire of a prop gun.
