K-pop star Sriya Lenka, on how she made it

• From thousands of auditions sent in from around the world, two new members were shortlisted for the K-pop band Blackswan last year. One of them was the 19-year-old Sriya Lenka from Odisha. She moved to Seoul in December, where she has spent months training for up to 12 hours a day, sometimes seven days a week. She’s studying Korean, working on her fitness, jogging while she sings to raise stamina and consistency. The experience has “made me more disciplined and made me believe in myself,” she says. Here she is on her new life, and how she did it.
