'On cloud 9': How Britney Spears reacted after her father's removal as guardian

• Britney Spears' father was removed from his controversial role as his daughter's guardian. Ending a long legal battle, a Los Angeles judge suspended Jamie Spears on Wednesday. Following the suspension judgment, the pop super-star said she was 'on cloud nine’. Jamie was suspended with immediate effect & replaced with a temporary conservator for Britney's estate. Calling the arrangement 'untenable', Judge Brenda Penny said the move was 'in best interests' of Britney. The suspension came reportedly a week after Britney's attorney Mathew Rosengart asked court to suspend Jamie. John Zabel, an accountant, has been appointed as the temporary conservator until December 31. In a June hearing, Britney Spears had spoken publicly against her conservatorship. She had accused her father of abuse & said she was being prevented from doing things she wanted to. Reports suggested that Britney was first placed under a conservatorship about 13 years ago.
