After World Cup setback, Buffon backs Neymar to return with a ‘desire to win’

Legendary Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon said he thinks Neymar will return to PSG with “a desire to win”, as the 40-year-old was officially presented at the club on Monday (July 9). A World Cup champion and multiple Italian Serie A winner, Buffon still believes he has plenty to offer in the game. Although Buffon enjoyed World Cup success with Italy in 2006, the same cannot be said for his new teammate and the world's most expensive player, Neymar. Brazil limped out of the 2018 World Cup at the quarter-final stage, but Buffon expects the man who carries the weight of the nation on his shoulders, Neymar, to move quickly on from that disappointment.
