Hamas’ rare large-scale attack on IDF amid new Gaza mission; Fighters breach camp, bleed soldiers

Hamas launched a surprising and fierce assault on an IDF encampment in Khan Younis, infiltrating via tunnel and attacking with machine guns and RPGs. While Hamas claimed Israeli casualties and hostage attempts, the IDF reported three wounded soldiers and killed at least eight attackers also striking some via drone. The incident comes as Israel prepares a broader operation to seize Gaza City.
