Amit Shah says ‘do gaz ki doori’ can’t become distance between BJP and people

Updated on Jun 08, 2020 08:32 pm IST

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said 'do gaz ki doori' can't become distance between BJP and people. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'do gaz ki doori' (a distance of two yards) mantra was put to fight against Covid-19. Amit Shah has been conducting virtual rallies to drive home Modi govt's message. The Union Home Minister was speaking at Odisha Jansamvad virtual rally. On Sunday Shah conducted 'Bihar Jansamvad', underscoring it was not a poll rally. Shah said the virtual rally was to bring the country together in the fight against Covid. BJP seems to be the first party off the blocks, giving a push to political activities with these rallies. After four phases of nationwide lockdown, India is under unlock 1.0. Centre, with an 'economic focus' in mind, has decided to open up gradually in a three-phase plan.
