Chhattisgarh: Bhupesh Baghel’s Congress govt announces hike in SC, OBC quota

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel announced an increase in quota for SCs and OBCs. Quota for SCs increased from 12 per cent to 13 per cent in the state. Reservation for OBCs raised from 14 per cent to 27 per cent. Scheduled Tribes will continue to get 32 per cent reservation. The Chief Minister also announced creation of a new district.
