‘Cong’s politics of lies’: BJP dismisses ‘Yeddyurappa Diary’, cites I-T statement
Updated on Mar 22, 2019 06:57 pm IST
Just hours after Congress demanded a Lokpal investigation into alleged diary entries by former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa, the Bharatiya Janata Party denied the charge, citing Income Tax Department's statement. The BJP claimed that the 'diary pages' in question were handed to the I-T Department by Congress leader DK Shivakumar, however he wasn't able to authenticate the document or provide the original pages. The BJP also questioned why the Congress hadn't filed a complaint earlier.
