Locals rush patient to hospital on cot due to lack of proper road

Locals rushed a patient to hospital on a cot due to lack of proper roads. A critical patient was again compelled to be carried on a cot to the hospital as ambulance could not reach his village because of inaccessible road conditions. The incident was reported in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha. Sumati Marandi as suffering from diabetes and needed urgent medical attention. Due to non-motorable road, neither ambulance nor any other vehicle could reach the village. With no other option, the family rushed Sumati to hospital on a cot with the help of ambulance workers. The road construction work is incomplete due to callous attitude of the Rural Works Department (RWD) and district administration. Not only Sumati, several other villagers in these villages are also afflicted in Mayurbhanj district.
