Priyanka Gandhi meets kin of man who allegedly died in UP police custody

Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi met family members of Ram Avtar, the Dalit man who allegedly died in police custody. Ram Avtar was allegedly picked up from his home in Bhikharipur village of Amethi on suspicion of theft and was reportedly kept under detention at the local police station till Sunday. After speaking to the victim's kin, Priyanka Gandhi launched a scathing attack on the UP government saying that law and order has collapsed in the state.
