Urns with Vajpayee’s ashes were handed over to state presidents of the party

Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Bhartiya Janta Party president Amit Shah, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj handed over the urn containing the ashes of the most loved former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to state presidents of the party on Wednesday. State presidents were instructed to take out processions in their respective states and immerse it in holy waters. Vajpayee breathed his last on 16th August, 2018. The former PM died at AIIMS following a prolonged illness.
