Watch: Flights at new airport in Bihar’s Darbhanga soon, says minister
Union minister Hardeep Singh Puri visited poll-bound Bihar on Saturday. Puri, who is Minister of State (Independent Charge), Civil Aviation, reviewed the progress of construction of a new airport in Darbhanga. The initiation of operations at the airport are likely to coincide with Assembly elections in the state. Puri said that bookings will open in a few days and flights will start operating from the first week of November, before Chhath Puja. SpiceJet has been awarded the route under RCS-UDAN. Arrival and departure halls, check-in facilities, and conveyors belts, among other features, have already been installed at the airport. Puri also interacted with workers employed at the site and thanked them for their contribution to ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ mission. Watch the full video for more.
