Watch | Heavy snowfall in Shimla disrupts normal life

The higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh, including capital Shimla, are reeling under intense cold after heavy snowfall in the region since Friday. Shimla, Kufri and several other towns in the area were wrapped in a thick white blanket of snow while the mid and lower hills experienced moderate to heavy rain. Vehicles have been damaged, roads blocked and electricity supply hampered due to the snowfall. Rohru and Chopal areas of Shimla district were cut off due to snowfall while traffic towards Kinnaur district has been diverted through Basantpur.
